Dr Devini Ameratunga is a double-board-certified Fertility Specialist (CREI) and Gynecologist, known for her expertise in both general and complex fertility care. She is one of only a handful of CREI-qualified specialists in Queensland, and the first female in the State to qualify for both CREI and a Surgical Fellowship in Advanced Laparoscopy.

Devini’s clinical interests include IVF, fertility preservation, pregnancy loss, PCOS, and minimally invasive surgery for conditions like endometriosis and fibroids. She holds a Bachelor of Medicine with First Class Honours and a Master’s in Reproductive Medicine (awarded with excellence), and trained at leading institutions including the Royal Women’s Hospital in Melbourne.

In addition to her private practice, Devini works as a Staff Specialist at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, where she leads the Fertility Preservation service and teaches as a Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland. She is also active in research, publication, and training programs for GPs and junior doctors.
